Initiate direct debit collection for GiftCommitment
To configure a recurring gift commitment in Salesforce to collect future instalments via direct debit, you have two options:
- Use the lightning web component (LWC) shipped with our managed package. This will automatically detect the required direct debit variant and offer a selection of available, pre-configured payment method profiles that correspond to your desired creditor account. You may choose from payment instruments already linked to that person or company account, or supply a new bank account number.
- Use the Apex method shipped with our managed package in the context of automated imports of recurring gift commitments. Your imported gift commitments must be linked to an account and a viable payment instrument. A viable payment instrument is a bank account number that matches the selected direct debit variant.
Either of these methods will result in future collections being initiated and managed through RaiseNow, according the the payment schedule defined in Salesforce.
