Dynamics MS Nonprofit Accelerator Integration v4.1.0

Release Date April 29 2025

RaiseNow Manager to RaiseNow Hub subscription migration support

This release introduces support for the payment gateway aggregator Spreedly and introduces improvements to faciliate adding new payment gateways in the future.

In addition, it supports the migration from RaiseNow Manager to RaiseNow Hub subscriptions by updating all necessary identifiers in Dynamics. This process runs automatically, ensuring that future charges processed by RaiseNow Hub are accurately linked to the correct donor commitment record.

These enhancements apply within the RaiseNow integration for Dynamics, specifically targeting the payment processing module managed by RaiseNow Hub. This update ensures seamless subscription migration and accurate donor commitment management in your Dynamics environment.

Bugs fixes and other improvements

Improved handling of time discrepancies in subscription transfers

When the initial transfer of a subscription is delayed (resulting in the creation of a donor commitment and payment schedule in Dynamics), the subsequent transfer of the first charge may fail. Previously, such a failure was considered permanent. Now, the integration treats it as a transient failure and will automatically retry the transfer.

This update is implemented within the Dynamics integration of RaiseNow, directly impacting the subscription transfer process.

Streamlined notification handling for subscription cancellations

When a subscription is cancelled or suspended via RaiseNow, the system updates the corresponding Gift Commitment and payment schedule in Dynamics. This update previously triggered a redundant notification that launched an unnecessary process to handle the cancellation. Since the subscription was already in sync, this process would eventually fail. The update now automatically ignores this redundant notification.

This improvement is applied within the backend notification handling logic of the Dynamics integration in RaiseNow.

Prevent changes from Dynamics connected to the non-production instance

Previously, changes made in a Dynamics sandbox could unintentionally modify production data in connected systems, particularly when using test environments containing copied production data. This release introduces safeguards to prevent such unintended modifications, ensuring sandbox changes remain isolated.

Example: Previously, updating a donor commitment record in a Dynamics test environment connected to a production RaiseNow account could unintentionally trigger a cancellation or modification of an active production RaiseNow subscription.

info

This improvement applies to Dynamics sandbox environments integrated with RaiseNow. If you need to process production data in a sandbox for specific use cases, such as migration testing, please contact our support team for guidance and enablement.
